The other day –actually, yesteday– I mentioned that I’d be picking anime for Fall 2020 soon, or at the very least, in the near future. Well, I’ve just wrapped up on my official picks for this season, and am eager to share what I’ll be covering for Anime Feminist.
In a shocking twist, this is going to be a short post, in large part because I’m tired and because it’s the weekend and I’m not working until maybe tomorrow night. So, here’s a quick post about what you can look forward to seeing me cover for the Fall 2020 anime season:
Iwa Kakeru! Sports Climbing Girls
Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina / Majo no Tabitabi
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
Over the Moon For You / Fly Me to the Moon Tonikaku Kawaii
Overall, I’m pretty darn happy: I got 100% of the anime I was interested in, and still can watch the others. I just won’t be focusing on them in the same way I will these four. Additionally, I’ll be following them to the end of the season -along with a few other shows- so you can expect to hear me on a few podcasts for Chatty AF too, if we’re lucky.
I originally planned for Tonikawa to be Rail Romanesque, but it turns out the latter is a series of twelve five-minute episodes rather than the usual full length. So, rather than writing about it for Anime Feminist, I think I’ll cover it in a Twitter thread and on Ko-Fi for fun.
Speaking of Twitter, I’ve also decided that I will be doing Twitter threads throughout the season, which I think will work out well so long as I keep on it. Thankfully, I’ve got a stack of sticky notes ready to remind me to make a thread every week. I’ll be linking to them here so they’ll all be coallated by week once all the series I’m following line up. Look forward to my witty commentary and some screenshots: fun times ahead!
Anyways, I’m going to hit “publish” and hope back offline. I’ve spent the day largely abed due to physical discomfort, and plan to curl up with my Switch Lite, VA-11 HALL-A, and my favorite new Australian-New Zealand comedy drama before heading straight back to bed.
